DIY PR
(Do It Yourself Public Relations)

For years, librarians have been told that marketing and promotion are critically important — but so are reference, cataloging, circulation, acquisitions, and everything else they do!

While some libraries are fortunate to have dedicated, in-house marketing, public relations and graphics support, most are not. Library staff must often become “accidental marketers,” and may be overwhelmed with how to incorporate marketing and PR into the work of their library.

This session will provide 10 easy ways to promote library collections, services, and programs. No marketing budget needed!
