“Time is your most precious commodity. No matter how hard you try, you can’t do everything by yourself. Many supervisors avoid delegating responsibilities and the reasons for this vary. Some may be uncomfortable or simply not used to delegating. Others live by the words “If you want something done right, do it yourself.”
Whatever your feelings, as a manager or supervisor you need to realize that you are better at what you do with the help of others. To do this, you must learn how to delegate efficiently and responsibly.
Participants will learn and begin to master:
- Understanding what and what not to delegate
- Choosing the appropriate employee(s) to delegate to
- Overcoming common delegation pitfalls that will stop you from “delegating it right”
